The Doulton RIO 2000 is a large-size filter module for use in places where the best quality of drinking water is needed. It consists of six 0.9 micron rated Doulton Sterasyl filter elements installed in a Big Blue filter housing that can effectively remove bacteria, cysts and other pathogens from your drinking water.
The Sterasyl ceramic filters are impregnated with silver in order to prevent bacterial growth. The filter elements can be cleaned with a brush or scouring pad in order to re-establish the flow rate.
The system is typically used as part of a whole house water treatment system and comes complete with the housing, filter candles, a housing spanner and mounting bracket.
Due to the microporous structure of the ceramic filters, we would always recommend installing a pre-filtration unit with a 5 – 10 micron sediment filter installed before the RIO
